IN CHARACTER
CHARACTER: Richard Plantagenet from the House of York, Duke of Gloucester. Later known as King Richard III
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Oh god. Richard is very touch-starved and would love nothing more than having physical (or even emotional tbh) affection. That being said he's extremely private, avoids physical contact unless he has some ulterior motives.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: He's an experienced knight and a war hero. Come at him.
RELATIONSHIPS: Yes. Although it'll be very slow burn I'm sorry. Richard is also married buuuuuut it's not like he let that stop him in canon, right? Personally I'm just degenerate and here for all canon ships with Richard and for cross-canon madness.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Since Richard's canon is set in medieval times the fear of God is very real. He believes himself to be a demon because of his body, and is constantly haunted by his own nightmares of witches and other demonic creatures. The most prominent figure of his visions is the ghost of Joan D'Arc, whom he views as a witch going against God's will etc. Richard has hostile and antagonizing conversations with her. The other recurring one is the ghost of his deceased father, with whom he has more fucked up moments... so yeah. There's just lot of self-loathing going on. These episodes happen inside Richard's mind and aren't usually something that others would hear/see.
Richard isn't necessarily a bad person but he's done lot of questionable an downright horrible things. This includes orchestrating murder/death of his own family members in order to achieve his own dreams (basically to overthrown a king lol), emotionally manipulating others and his wife. He also believes to having killed the man he loved but that night was just messy business overall.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: n/a
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Richard is transmasc. He was born intersex and has gender non-confirming body-type ( basically he has both sexual characteristics of two genders). This is, however, a secret and not something he'll reveal to anyone, not even in the face of death. Richard also has heterochromia with one eye being dark and one light. Other than that, he's built is pretty "frail and thin". He's smaller than most men and appears feminine.

The canon includes content warnings for death, murder, torture, sexual trauma, religious trauma, incest-y elements, homo- transphobia (some of it being internalized), gender & body dysphoria, suicide & self-harm. Some of these might or might not come up in a thread with him.
I perfectly understand that this is not everyone's cup of tea! We're here to smash imaginary barbies together and to have fun. So, if you find Richard & the series uncomfortable please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I shall either avoid certain topics or tagging with you character all together!
